What does “teacher identity” mean to you? What does your identity look like at this phase in your career as a teacher?

To me, my teacher identity has already began to co-exist with my personal identity. teaching is becoming a part of me, and thus a part of my identity. Even though I’m only a first year student, I feel I’ve developed a lot already and hope to continue maturing my identity as a teacher.

How did the type of school I was in shape my high school experience?

I went to a relatively large high school (class of 170 students), and so I often felt disconnected with a lot of classmates. I had a close group of friends and good relationships with most of my teachers. overall, I had a very good high school experience, mostly due to not being pressured by a small class to partake in things I didn’t enjoy, yet being able to still have relationships with most people in my class.
